Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the title clarifier which makes it possible to manufacture a transparent soap having excellent hue and transparency according to not only the frame process but also the milling process, and which comprises a modified rosin. CONSTITUTION:A clarifier for a transparent soap comprising a modified soap. Heretofore, a rosin has been known as a clarifier which is relatively effective in both of the frame process and the milling process. However, the use of a rosin has a problem that the transparent soap has a brown hue due to the hue of the rosin per se so that the types of usable dyes are limited. By contrast, the use of a modified rosin (e.g., disproportionation product, hydrogenation product or alcohol esterification product of a rosin) makes it possible to markedly improve the hue, and hence to obtain a transparent soap product having excellent hue and transparency. Esp., by using a variety of dyes, it is possible to obtain a beautiful, colorful product.
