CONSTITUTION:When a changeover shift 24 is placed in a first shift position, a driving force transmitted from an input shaft 12 which is joined to an engine via a transmission is transmitted to an intermediate gear 26 from an input gear 25 via the changeover shift 24, and then, to a front-wheel driving shaft 15 through an output gear 16. In this case, when there is no rotation difference between front and rear wheels, since no rotation difference takes place between viscous clutches 28, 30, a viscous clutch mechanism 20 will not generate transmitting force and the driving force is wholly transmitted to front wheels. When rotation difference takes place, on the other hand, the driving force is transmitted from the input shaft 12 to a rear wheel shaft 21 to bring about a four-wheel- drive condition. Also, when the changeover shift 24 is shifted to a second shift position, only the rear-wheel shaft 21 is rotated.
