Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a body for the production of high-quality pottery and having a uniform water content optimum for forming by heating a specified body with the humidified hot air having specified temp. and humidity, and then blowing air to cool the body. CONSTITUTION:Caked body discharged from a filter press and having a nonuniform water content is supplied to a kneader 2 from the charging port 1 of a drier, extruded from a nozzle plate 3, and introduced into the heating zone H of a closed box-type drying chamber 5 by the conveyor belt 7a of a belt conveyor 7. The humidified hot air formed by a gas combustion type hot air generator 12 and the water atomized by the spray nozzle 14 of a humidifying chamber 13 is blown against the body from the lower surface of the belt 7a to heat the body. In this case, the hot air is previously passes through a hot air fan 16, temp. controller 17, orifice meter 19, air volume regulating damper 20, etc., and the flow rate and temp. are controlled.
