Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the illegal use of a coin locker by making illegal a coin holding rotary plate move up a releasing plate by an up-down movement plate which rises up by a lock lever moving in its locking direction, and making a cover member open a cut recess part by the sloping surface of the cancel plate, and making the engagement element of a coin finger engage with the cut recess part. CONSTITUTION: When a user puts his baggage into a coin locker and locks the locker again after closing the locker door, an up-down movement plate 28 rises accompanying the movement of a lock lever 12 in its locking direction. Then, a coin holding rotary plate 34 which rises together with the rise of the plate 28 and holds the coins to be returned, pushes up a cancel plate 42, and a cover member 22 which is pushed by the sloping surface of the plate 42 moves to open a cut recess part 16. Thus, an engagement element 19 of a coin finger 18 is put into the part 16 to restrain the movement of the locked lever 12. Therefore, the locker door is locked after the use of the locker and is never unlocked unless a prescribed number of coins are thrown into the locker. Thus, the coin locker can be completely prevented from housing baggage and being used illegally without paying charge.
