Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent developer from coming off by making the width of a black band with respect to the longitudinal direction of an image carrier coincide with the width of a developed image formed on the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:Printing data is outputted from a control part 61 according to a data value in a memory 64 and outputs from an OR circuit 68 are made on over a certain time. Namely, by forcedly driving a semiconductor laser oscillator according to the data value from a counter 67, the pattern of the black band whose thickness with respect to the rotating direction of a photosensitive body 15 is corresponding to the data value in the memory 64 and whose length with respect to the longitudinal direction of the photosensitive body 15 is the same as the width of a toner image corresponding to image data is formed on the surface of the photosensitive body 15. Since the length in the horizontal direction of the black band for preventing the curving a cleaning blade is formed the same as the width of an image formed area, the developer can be prevented from coming off and the image of high quality can be obtained.
