Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable accurate determination in a wide density range, by adjusting an absorbance value within the optimum range of measurement repeating a redilution process when it is not within the range to calculate the concentration based on the frequency of dilution and the absorbance value. CONSTITUTION:First, a solenoid valve 22 is opened to turn slide valves 2 and 3 to positions (a) and (e) and a liquid containing a specified amount of dimethoxy trtyl (DMTr) is introduced into a liquid reservoir 43. When a liquid level reaches a sensor 7, a valve 2 is turned to a position (c) to perform a bubbling agitation by the introduction of a gas. Thereafter, the valves 2 and 3 are turned to positions (d) and (f) and the liquid is introduced into an optical measurement passage 5 from a container 4 to measure absorbance. When a value of the absorbance is within the optimum range of measurement, a computing section 10 calculates and displays the concentration of DMTr. On the other hand, when it is not within the range, with a control section 9, a sample dilution liquid within the container 4 is discharged through the passage 5 to lower the liquid level to the position of a sensor 8, and then, a redilution is repeated until the absorbance reaches the optimum range thereof. This enables accurate determination in a wide range by computation based on the absorbance and the frequency of dilution.
