Abstract

PURPOSE:To freely describe discrimination display of an arbitrary shape, by removing a colored layer having hue different from that of a molded product main body by combustion corresponding to a desired shape by irradiating the same with laser beam to expose the hue of the molded product main body to the removed part of the colored layer. CONSTITUTION:A colored layer 2 absorbing laser beam of hue showing a color different from the hue of a molded product main body 1 preformed into a predetermined cross- sectional shape is formed to the outer surface of the molded product main body 1 and irradiated with laser beam 3 corresponding to a desired shape to partially burn and remove the colored layer 2 and the hue of the molded product main body 1 is exposed to the removed part of the colored layer 2 as a different color part. The irradiation with laser is performed by relatively moving the molded product main body 1 and the laser beam 3 and scanning is performed corresponding to a desired shape. Not only a different color part having an arbitrary shape can be formed without using a configurationally specified mold but also a desired different color part can be accurately formed even when there is slight irregularity in the dimension of the outer surface shape of the molded product.
