Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve sorting accuracy and to prevent the damage to grains by erecting a dislodgment preventive plate for preventing the fall of the grains falling onto a reduction shelve to the discharge side of a rotary sorting cylinder at the discharge side end of the rotary sorting cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A finished rice trough 16 for receiving unpolished rice is installed to the rotary sorting cylinder which is formed with many pot holes on its inner peripheral surface and rotates around its horizontal axis. The reduction shelf 23 which receives the grains failing to arrive at a trough 16 on the inner upper side of the grains scooped up by the rotary sorting cylinder and guides the flow down of the grains from the upstream side to the downstream side of rotation of the rotary sorting cylinder is diagonally installed in the lower position of the trough 16 in the rotary sorting cylinder. The dislodgment preventive plate 24 preventing the fall of the grains falling onto the shelf 23 to the discharge side of the rotary sorting cylinder is erected at the discharge side end of the rotary sorting cylinder of the shelf 23. The end of the preventive plates 24 is extended upward along the inner peripheral surface of the rotary sorting cylinder to constitute the extended dislodgment preventive plate 25. An inclined surface part 25C for guiding the grains to the supply side of the rotary sorting cylinder is formed at the preventive plate 25. Consequently, the sorting accuracy is improved.
