Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance treatment effect at lower temp. and to prevent the damage of normal tissue, by mounting a living body heating means and a means for irradiating the living body with an ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:A heating applicator 2 is set to a living body 1 and a heating control apparatus 3 is connected to said applicator 2. High frequency power is supplied to the applicator 2 from the heating control apparatus 3 and electromagnetic wave energy is emitted from the heating applicator 2 to heat the living body 1. An ultrasonic wave irradiator 4 receives a drive signal from an ultrasonic wave control apparatus 5 to emit an ultrasonic wave to the living body 1. As mentioned above, since the living body 1 is heated by the incidence of electromagnetic wave energy and simultaneously irradiated with an ultrasonic wave even when the temp. of the living body 1 is relatively low, treatment effect can be increased by ultrasonic wave sensitizing action and, since the heating itself due to electromagnetic wave energy may be low temp., it is unnecessary to increase said energy and the damage of normal tissue can be reduced.
