Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the degree of deformation of an oval extremely easy to be seen and to facilitate the control of operation, by measuring the index image projected on the cornea of an eye to be examined and calculating and providing the degree of deformation of the cornea on the basis of this data as oval data and allowing said data to coincide with the coordinates of the cornea reflected image of the index to display the same. CONSTITUTION:The oval data showing the shape of the cornea is calculated on the basis of the coordinates of four bright points 6a-6d on an image receiving element 8 by the first operation circuit 9 and the shape of an oval or the long diameter circle k1 or short diameter circle k2 thereof is displayed through a character generating circuit 12. The second operation circuit 11 generates separately inputted data, for example, an objective shape at the coordinates position obtained from the data of the first operation circuit 9 as an individual character, and the output thereof is displayed on a display device 13 through the character generating circuit 12. This state is observed so that a character oval figure K is observed along with a long axis L and a short axis M in matching relation to the center axis 02 of the cornea reflected image 5A' of the ring index 5 in a visual field F.
