Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a mop for cleaning which has good color developability, excellent wash-fastness and excellent dirt removability at the time of industrial washing by consisting this mop of nylon 66 fibers having a terminal amino group content of >=30 millimol/kg fiber. CONSTITUTION: The nylon 66 fibers having the terminal amino group content of >=30 millimol/kg fiber are used as mop code yarn. If the terminal amino group content is lower than the range described above, a residual bath remains considerably at the time of dyeing and the sufficient color developability is not obtainable. In addition, the wash-fastness is poor and if the industrial washing at a high temp. is repeated, drastic color drops arises. Since the dirt removability at the time of industrial washing is poor, the degradation in merchandise characteristic is resulted. On the other hand, if the terminal amino group content is above 100 millimol/kg fiber, the nylon 66 fibers have a poor spinning property and the degradation in a spinning yield arises. The nylon 66 fibers used for the mop is preferably single yarn 5 denier to 40 denier. Two to three pieces of multifilaments of 500 to 10,000 denier are twisted and are used as the cord yarn for the mop.
