Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive drive circuit with small size and high reliability by sending an on/off command signal through a high frequency signal so as to attain the transmission of a low frequency signal or a DC signal by a pulse transformer. CONSTITUTION:An output A of a high frequency power supply 1 is connected to one terminal of the primary winding of an isolation transformer 3 and an output C of an exclusive OR circuit 2 receiving an output A of a high frequency power supply 1 and an on/off command signal B is connected to the other terminal. A signal D being the difference between the signals A, C is obtained from the secondary winding of the transformer 3 as the output and the signal D is subject to full wave rectification by a full wave rectifier comprising diodes 4-7 and a drive signal E is given to a MOSFET 9. Thus, the on/off command signal is modulated by a high frequency and even if the on/off command signal is given a DC or a low frequency signal, the control signal is sent quickly and accurately and the isolation drive circuit with small size, low cost and high reliability is obtained.
