Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable fuel to be metered and atomized by constituting a fuel supply device main unit providing electrostrictive elements and a fuel passage to be assembled integrally with a horn, which provides a vibration magnifying part in an outlet side of the fuel passage, and providing a valve unit of a fuel metering system in one part of this fuel passage. CONSTITUTION:A horn 1 of small diameter serves as the main unit of a fuel supply device providing a vibration magnifying part 2, spreading in a semi- spherical bowl shape, in the point end of the horn 1 and a flange 3 to be successively lined with the horn 1 in its another end side. A bolt part 5 is formed in the end face of this flange 3, fitting disk-shaped electrostrictive elements 6, 6' to be tightened by a nut 9 in such a manner as to interpose a +electrode 7 and a -electrode 8. And in a part serving as an outlet 4' of a fuel passage 4 in a central position of the vibration magnifying part 2, a valve mechanism 12, constituted of a valve seat 13, valve unit 14 and a coil spring 15 or the like energizing the valve unit 14 to its closing direction, is arranged. The spring 15, which is energized through a vibration transmitting system of the horn 1 when mechanical vibration increases to a certain level of vibration or more, has the characteristic generating contracting force.
