Abstract
PURPOSE:To contrive improvements in accuracy of mesh at a cog part of a screw and workability, by a method wherein a half nut is moved by a necessary movement after comparing the necessary movement obtained by an arithmetic unit with movement of the half nut detected by a detecting member. CONSTITUTION:Driving of a jack 15 is begun and a necessary raising quantity of the jack 15 is calculated by an arithmetic unit 25 based on thicknesses of both molds, by a method wherein the thicknesses of the stationary and movable molds to be used are put in and a push button for mold thickness control is pushed. At the time when it is detected by a detecting member 24 that the number of revolutions of an input shaft of the jack 15 has arrived at a movement necessary for both screw cogs 13a, 13b to arrive at an appropriate mesh position, the jack 15 is stopped at once. Upon confirmation by a detecting member 18 that it is safe from a view point of mechanical actuation by detecting that both the screw cogs 13a, 13b have arrived at the appropriate mesh position after stop, a half nut 11 is moved forward to a closed position by driving a driving cylinder 14. With this construction, smooth mesh actuation of the screw cogs 13a, 13b is obtained without resistance.
