Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy made rotor in light weight and having excellent strength and wear resistance by extruding an Al alloy patch easy to extrude by abutting it to the front of the billet head part of an Al alloy difficult to extrude. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy 2 of good extruding is abutted as a patch to the front side in the extruding direction of the Al alloy billet 1 of hard-to-extruding (A stage). The billet 1 in this state is then set (stage B) to a press container 3 and extruded via a die 5 by a press system 5 (stage C). The top of an extruding stock is made by an Al alloy 2 and the part succeeding thereto is covered by a thin layer at the surface of a rotor 6 by the Al alloy and 2 and the extruding stock having no Al alloy 2 layer and consisting of an Al alloy 1 only is made (stage C). An Al alloy made rotor is then obtd. by removing the Al alloy 2 from this extruding material.
