Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a control signal and an information signal from interfering with each other due to after-recording by dividing a rewritable area of each sector into a control area and an information area and providing an unrewritable data separator in between those areas. CONSTITUTION:A sector address signal 21 is previously impressed in an unrewritable area 11. Then, the rewritable area 12 is bisected by the unrewritable data separator 15 into the information area 14 and the control area 13, whereas the former is recorded with the information signal 24, while the latter with the control signal 23 respectively. By this method, in case of editing after recording such a bit of continuous information as a music signal or a video signal, etc., the after-recording of a control signal such as a cue signal, etc., is feasible. And, since the control signal 23 is completely separated by the data separator from the signal 24 of the area 14, both signals do not interfere with each other due to after-recording. Moreover, because the disk itself concerned is recorded with a bit of information for its edit point, even in case of such an edit as using plural devices in different places, the only thing to do is to transfer the disk between the devices.
