Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the gain frequency characteristic flat without deteriorating the input/output VSWR by employing the 1st and 2nd MMIC amplifiers and providing a matching type slope equalizer between the both. CONSTITUTION:A signal from an input terminal 1 is amplified by the MMIC amplifier 3 and its gain is as shown in figure (b). In coupling the MMIC amplifiers 3, 4 directly, the gain is shown in figure (c). Thus, in providing a matching type slope equalizer having an attenuation characteristic (d) where the attenuation is OdB at a frequency fO and the attenuation at fL is 2(GL-GO) between amplifiers 3, 4, a flat gain frequency characteristic is obtained. Since the matching type slope equalizer is made up of microstrip lines 5, 7, 9, resistors 6, 8, 11 and a capacitor 10, the input/output VSWR characteristic is excellent.
