Abstract

PURPOSE:To attempt to realize a large-scaled costreduction and to improve the characteristic and reliability of the high tension generator by molding a padding metal, a piezoelectric element and a receiving metal uniformly under conditions for molding an outer box upon manufacturing the high-tension generator for igniting a cigarette lighter or the like. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element 12 is provided at its both ends with a padding metal 13 and a receiving plate 14. The padding metal 13 and the receiving metal 14 are pressed and held by metal mold cores 16a and 16b of an outer box metal mold 15. An elastic presser 17 for absorbing irregularities in the full length dimensions of three-point insert parts is provided on either one of the metal mold cores 16a and 16b. The outer box 18 is integrally formed in this state. According to the above described arrangement, it is possible to omit many steps such as insertion of parts into the outer box and blending, kneading, pouring, hardening and the like of an adhesive.
