Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the permeability of an electrolyte and to strengthen the adhesion strength with reference to rubber by a method wherein a capacitor element is housed in a bottomed and cylindrical metal case and an open end is sealed by an opening-sealing substance formed by laminating a soft fluorice resin on natural rubber or synthetic rubber. CONSTITUTION:A substance formed by laminating a soft fluorine resin on rubber is used as an opening-sealing substance for a capacitor element. The permeability of an electrolyte is about 6mum per product; the substance is effective to reduce the permeability of the electrolyte by about 40%. The adhesion strength with reference to rubber is 3.50kg/cm; the substance is effective to increase the exfoliation strength by about 6 times.
