Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a portable solar battery, by housing a generator and a capacitor in a box having a lid in which the generator is placed so as to be exposed outside when the lid is opened. CONSTITUTION:Ten polycrystalline generator plates 1 each having capability of power generation of approximately 0.5V are disposed into a planar structure in a generator housing box 2 in which the generator plates 1, 1... are connected to each other in series. A capacitor 10 is housed in a capacitor housing box 9 attached integrally beneath the generator housing box 2. The capacitor 10 comprising a large capacitance capacitor 11 stores temporarily electrical energy generated from the generator plate 1 and houses inside a carbon content so as to be able to gradually discharge over 12 hours and more. This solar battery is carried to a place of installation such as on a mountaintop so that the generator plate 1 is exposed to light when the lid 7 is opened and thereafter, the battery is used by extending a protective net 14 using a button 15 and connecting a terminal 6 to an outside circuit.
