Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate laying work even of a relatively soft wire a wire for which winding is undesirable, by employing pairs of resilient rollers filled with compressed gas as rotary members for feeding the wire. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of resilient rollers 2 filled with compressed gas are arranged in pairs so as to form a resilient roller pair 3. A wire 4 is held between the resilient paired rollers 3 and fed in predetermined direction (arrow A). Consequently, a relatively soft wire such as an aluminum wire which might easily be damaged otherwise or an optical fiber for which winding is undesirable, can be laid easily.
