Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily and exactly chip the surface layer of base concrete by a method in which base concrete is placed to a limit level, immediately after the beginning of concrete setting, grooves are formed to a given chipping depth from the limit level, and after the concrete hardens chipping operation is performed. CONSTITUTION:Base concrete 1 is placed to a limit level, and immediately after the beginning of setting of the concrete, grooves 7 of a square form are formed by a tool 4 such as knife. At a time when the concrete 1 has a given strength, chipping is performed along the grooves 7. The chipping operation can thus be performed exactly to a given depth with less amount of labor without damaging the base concrete 1.
