Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve effective utilization of space above a passage by turnably fitting one end of a steering box onto one side of the passage formed on a deck, so that the box can be changed over from a passage crossing state to a passage opening state, or reversely. CONSTITUTION:In a small size vessel 2, a stern deck 7 is formed at the rear part of the deck 2 so as to be higher than the deck 2, and the casing 8 of an engine room is formed at the forward widthwise central part of the stern deck 7 so as to be in the nearly same height as the stern deck 7. And a passage 3 is formed between the one side of the casing 8 and a bulwark 11, and at the rear end part of the passage 3, an operator's seat 4 is arranged. In this case, a steering box 5 having a steering wheel 55 is arranged above the passage 3 in front of the operator's seat 4, and one end of the same box 5 is fitted to the one side of the passage 3 so as to be turnable around a vertical axis 10. Thus, the steering box 5 can be changed over from a state crossing the passage 3 to a state opening the passage 3, or reversely.
