Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the rigidity of a tread at each end thereof and prevent the partial abrasion of the tread by arranging many sheetings of specific length at specified intervals on each end of the tread and a land part formed on the tread and cellulated with grooves. CONSTITUTION:A tire 11 has a tread 13 striding over a pair of shoulders 12. And many grooves extending in zigzag toward the periphery of the tire 11 are formed on the tread 13, thereby cellulating many ribs (land parts) 16. In the aforesaid constitution, many sheetings 17 are arranged respectively at the end 16a of each rib 16 and the end 13a of the tread 13. And each sheeting 17 is made to have a length l of 1mm-3mm in the cross sectional direction of the tire 11, and the intervals (d) of the sheetings 17 in the peripheral direction of the tire 11 are set to 1mm-4mm. According to the aforesaid construction, rigidity at each end of the tread 13 and the rib 16 is reduced and the trouble of the tread 13 including partial abrasion is prevented.
