Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a laser beam corresponding to a line velocity of an optical disk by using an output signal from a position sensor so as to control an analog switch thereby controlling the time width of a write correction pulse outputted from a pulse width variable circuit. CONSTITUTION:An analog switch 15 is switched by a digital output signal from a position sensor 14 detecting a disk radial position of an optical head 13 to vary a resistor connected to a single pulse generating circuit 16. Thus, the time width of a write correction pulse outputted from a pulse width variable circuit 17 is changed in response to the position of the head 13. A gate circuit 18 applies an output pulse being the combination of the output of an information signal source 20 and the correction pulse to a laser drive circuit 19. Thus, optimum write correction is applied to a change in the line speed depending on the inner or outer periphery of the optical disk to improve the recording and reproducing characteristic.
