Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the production of sticking due to the growth of unerased parts by erasing an optical disk into the initializing state through the radiation of an optical beam of uniform strength to a location of deteriorated erasure when a monitor means detects the erasure deterioration of a recording location to reinitializing the unerased part in the simultaneous erasure recording. CONSTITUTION:A recording reproducing means for rewriting and recording information of a prescribed location of an optical disk 1 while erasing it simultaneously, a monitor means for checking the recording state of the recording location and an erasure means for erasing the prescribed location are provided. A monitor circuit 12 uses an erasure signal generating circuit 13 to radiate an optical beam of uniform strength on the location when the circuit 12 detects a prescribed number of recording times is caused on the same location at information recording or a prescribed number of errors or over are detected in the information thereby erasing the location into the uniform initializing state. The unerased parts of the simultaneous erasure and recording are reinitialized in this way to prevent the occurrence of sticking caused by the growth of the unerased parts.
