Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable stable feed of paper always regardless of a change in environment by constituting a separation protrusion with a protruding part with a plurality of steps which have different overriding forces. CONSTITUTION:A separation protrusion 30 consists of a plurality of steps with different overriding forces, e.g. two-step separate protruding parts 30-1, 30-2. The overlapping value of the separate protruding part to a feeder roller 2 is set by providing a less overriding force R for a first step protruding part 30-1 than that R for a second step separation protruding part 30-2. When the environmental conditions are low temperature and low humidity, the sheet (such as postcard) 1 is firm, so that it can easily be separated by one piece, even if its overriding force to the first step 30-1 is small. When the environmental conditions are high temperature and high humidity, the postcard is not firm and therefore, its coefficient of friction is large.
