Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide easy bendability to optical fibers and to improve the protection of the optical fibers by covering and protecting the fibers with a small-width woven fabric.
CONSTITUTION: This information wire has the small-width woven fabric 4 formed by weaving warp 1 and weft 2 with each other and weaving knot yarn 3 in such a manner that said yarn is alternately hooked to the front and rear wefts 2. The optical fibers 5 are disposed by each piece longitudinally in both side parts in the small-width woven fabric 4. These optical fibers 5 are woven as the warp into the small-width woven fabric 4 and is covered by the small- width woven fabric 4. The effect of improving the protection of the optical fibers is thereby improved and since the small-width woven fabric 4 is resilient and is easily bendable, the handling thereof is easy.
