Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the corrosion of a tube accurately, by fixing exciting devices at both ends of the tube of a heat exchanger, and moving a detecting device with a rod member in the tube of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:Exciting devices 3 and 3' are fixed at both ends of a heat exchanger tube 1. Thus, an approximately uniform magnetic field can be imparted along the entire length of the tube 1. Under this state, a moving rod member 8 is moved in the direction of the exciting device 3 by way of a through hole 6'. Thus, a detecting device 7 is moved along the inside of the tube 1, and the corrosion of the tube is inspected. Since the sufficient, uniform magnetic field is imparted along the entire length of the tube 1 at the time of the inspection, the corrosion of the tube can be detected accurately with the device 7.
