If the recorded signal is the video signal, the control part 40 judges whether the image displayed in an index print is a frame image or not based on data which an operator has inputted from an input operation device 48, generates display date on a track number in the units of a frame, and stores it in the built-in memory. If it is a field image, the control part 40 generates display data on the track number corresponding to a frame and stores it in the built-in memory.
