Abstract

PURPOSE:To clearly record even small documents and pictures by editing an original in plural screens so as to transmit them and record them without reduction on a reception side if the size of the original to be transmitted is larger than that of a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:At the time of dividing the size of the original and transmitting them, an operation part 1 outputs division instructing signals 1a, and an original read part 2 outputs size signals 2e showing the size of the transmission original, leading, intermediate and terminal position signals 2a showing the position of an auxiliary scanning direction, picture signals and the like. A write part 3 outputs first and second address signals 3a and 3b for writing, which are caused to store half a page at every one scan. A read part 4 generates third and fourth address signals 4a and 4b for reading. First and second storage parts 5a and 5b store the picture signals for half a page in respective designated places by the first and the second address signals 3a and 3b, and outputs storage signals of a reading place which the third or the fourth address signals 4a or 4b has designated.
