Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate positioning of a pressure roller to a thermal head and to prevent an unsatisfactory recording caused by the vibration of the thermal head, by pressing a head substrate towards the pressure roller and further pressing the head substrate in the tangential direction of the pressure roller in contact with the thermal head. CONSTITUTION:On a center part between a head substrate 4 and a guide body 2, compression coil springs 7 are provided as pressing means. Between a tangential force pressing spring receiving part 17 provided on an actuating lever 1 and a spring receiving part 18 provided on the head substrate 4, compression coil springs 19 are provided as tangential force pressing means. In the condition that a bearing 13 of a roller shaft 15 of a pressure roller 14 is engaged to a guide groove 12, the gap between the guide groove 12 and the bearing 13 and the gap between the bearing 13 and the roller shaft 15 are held in one direction with a fixed force. As a result, the fusion of a thermal head 9 to a thermal recording paper 16 and a force produced by the peeling in a thermal recording can be inhibited and the thermal head 9 is prevented from rocking; thus, an unsatisfactory printing such as the non-printing in a printed image can be prevented.
