CONSTITUTION:A designated paper size from an image data storing device B is received with a printing control part A1 to acknowledge sizes in principal and sub-scan directions. Then, a size of paper set to a printing part A2 is detected, and the sizes in the principal scan direction of the designated paper and the set paper are compared. When, for instance, the designated paper size is vertical placed A3 and the set paper size is crosswise placed A4, since they are equal to the principal scan direction size according to a judging method, the crosswise placed A4 paper is selected. Further, the number of sheets of paper required for stored data printing of one page content is calculated as two sheets by operating method. Since a data require signal from a printer A is outputted during an image area period in the sub-scan direction in printing, data subsequent to the final data on the first sheet is outputted on the second sheet.
