Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize three functions by an optical device block and to simplify the constitution of an optical system constituent, by forming separately three condensing spots by a first diffraction grating, and providing a processing function for a beam splitter and the detection of the deviation of focus by a second diffraction grating. CONSTITUTION:An optical device is constituted of the optical device block 30 having a first plane 35 at a light source 1 side confronting with a second lane 36 at a condenser means 7 side, and the first diffraction grating 31 is formed on the first plane 35, and the second diffraction grating 32 on the second plane 36. The first diffraction grating 31 forms three condensing spots separately on an information recording medium, and the second diffraction grating 32 introduces an emitted light beam from the light source 1 to a condensing means 7 as transmission 0th-order diffracted light, and also, separates the light beam reflected from the information recording medium from emitted light from the light source 1 as transmission 1st-order diffracted light, and also, performs a processing to detect the deviation of the focus. In such a way, it is possible to realize the function of a lens, etc., with one optical component, and to reduce the cost and the assembling time of a device.
