Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency by reading repetitively for plural number of times a pulse string stored in a storage means at a prescribed speed and demultiplexing it into a pulse string of a pulse code having a prescribed speed. CONSTITUTION:A voice telephone signal is modulated into a PCM signal by a pulse code modulating/decoding means 10 and a 90ms pulse string is extracted by an extraction means 20b for 360ms each from the pulse train of 1.544Mbps being the result of time division multiplex processing from plural PCM signals by a time division multiplex means 20a, the result is stored in a speed conversion means 20b and converted into 384Kbpc by the readout processing. On the other hand, the digital signal string received by 384Kbps in the reception section 300 is stored in the storage means 30a and it is read for times in a rate of 1.5Mbps by the readout means 30b, demultiplexed by a demultiplex means 30c and it is decoded into a pulse code modulation/decoding means 10 into a voice telephone signal. Thus, the voice signal subject to multiplex processing is sent with high transmission efficiency.
