Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the recording and reproduction of a camera integral type and the assurance of the interchangeability with the conventional VTR for home use simultaneously with the same head drum by mounting one of two sets of magnetic heads onto electrostrictive elements for adjusting the head height and subjecting this electrostrictive elements to binary control. CONSTITUTION:Four pieces of the magnetic heads 10a-10d and 4 pieces of the magnetic heads 11a-11d which exist in the positions slight apart therefrom, have the same height with each other and are divided by 90 deg. are mounted. The magnetic heads 11a-11d among the above-mentioned heads are mounted on electrostrictive elements 12a-12d and the heights thereof are set to either of the two values by the control signal from a slip ring 5. Recording patterns are separated from each other when the height of the two values is different. The recording and reproduction of high image quality to make best use of the advantages intrinsic to the VTR of the camera integral type are possible at this time by using the separate records with brightness chromaticity tracks. The interchangeability with the conventional VTR for home use is assured by using sound deep layer multiplexing and brightness chromaticity frequency multiplex recording when the heights are same and overlapped with each other. Since sound FM recording is used as well, the high sound quality reproduction is possible.
