Abstract

PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the thickness when a spectacle frame is folded and to prevent hooking of cloths, etc., to end parts by constituting the frame in such a manner that the half parts of the hinge constituting bodies respectively constituted on the outside at the outside end of wraparound endpieces and the outside at the front end of temples are engaged and pivotally fitted with and to each other. CONSTITUTION:One half part 2 of the hinge constituting body is constituted to the outside at the outside end of the wraparound endpieces 1 of the spectacle frame and the other half part 4 of the hinge constituting body is constituted to the outside at the front end of the temples 3, respectively. The half parts 2, 4 are engaged with each other and are pivotally fitted to each other by screws 5. The temples are stopped within the prescribed opening angle by the stoppers 6 provided on a part of the hinge constituting bodies. Since the axial line of the screws 5 exists on the outside of the respective outer side faces of the wraparound endpiece parts and the temples, the height H when the frame is folded is low and since the end parts are not exposed, the hooking of the end parts to the clothing, etc., is obviated.
