Abstract

PURPOSE: To hold a high recognition ratio even in an environment producing high level non-stationary noise by deleting the part corresponding to a noise pattern when the part is included in the recognition result of a recognition processing part to correct the recognition result. CONSTITUTION: The recognition processing part 5 inputs a signal wave in a section in which a detection signal K is '1' as an input pattern and collates the input pattern with a noise pattern registered in a noise pattern registering part 2 and a reference pattern registered in a reference pattern registering part 3. A pattern matching system or the like based upon finite state automaton rule having free start and final ends is used as recognition algorithm and an automaton rule is prepared by a state transition rule preparing part 4. A recognition result correcting part 6 inputs the recognition result of the processing part 5, removes only the noise pattern from the system consisting of the reference pattern and the noise pattern and outputs a clean recognition result R. Thus, even when a non-stationary noise is included, normal recognition performance is maintained.
