Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable exact detection and sorting by adopting a transfer structure to change the postures of fruits to postures not detecting calyxes at the time of sorting the fruits by detecting the sizes, colors or the like by means of sensors. CONSTITUTION: The fruits 2, such as persimmon and tomatoes, having the calyxes 1 are introduced in the state of mingling their calyxes 1 to an upper side and a lower side through a manual sorting stage from a container, etc., to plural lines of inclined guide grooves 3 of an aligning device 4 having a broad transfer width. Such fruits are, thereupon, received to an inverting device 6 and are carried over to the respective lines of the sorting conveyors 8. The detection not hindered by the calyxes 1 is then made possible by the sensors 7 of the respective lines.
