PURPOSE: To easily screen a brush electrifier by providing an electrode in contact with the surface of a conductive brush and measuring the current value flowing between the electrode and the conductive brush.
CONSTITUTION: The electrode 15 is embedded in the surface of an acrylic drum 14 over the entire length in parallel with the axis thereof. 1kV voltage is then impressed by a power supply 12 to the conductive brush electrifier 1 to be inspected and the electrifier 1 is pressed to the drum 14. The drum 14 is turned at a specified speed by a driving source and the electrode 15 on the drum 14 moves at a uniform speed along the brush surface. The current flowing to the electrode 15 is converted to a voltage by a resistance 13 which is observed by a waveform display device 16. The brush electrifier is thus easily screened.
