CONSTITUTION:A signal 2 expressing the set photographing distance of a photographic lens 1 and an object distance signal 4 expressing a measured distance from the range finder 3 are inputted in a diaphragm arithmetic circuit 5 so as to compute the set diaphragm value by which the position of an object is within the depth of field of the photographic lens and a set diaphragm value signal 6 is outputted. When the opening of the diaphragm reaches the set diaphragm value, exposure is executed by a control circuit 19 in a state where the diaphragm is held in the set diaphragm value in the exposing time according to the luminance of the object detected by the photometry circuit 23 at that time. Thus, the inexpensive camera, whose structure is simple, having the same precision is photographing as the usual autofocusing camera can be obtained.
