Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain multi-color thermosensitive transfer cording paper with which multi-colored images can be formed by using >=2 colors of ink consisting of org. solvents contg. color materials and molten wax and forming ink layers of multiple colors on the surface of a continuous base body sheet while successively segmenting >=2 colors. CONSTITUTION:The ink layers of >=2 colors are continuously formed on the surface of the continuous base body sheet by a gravure printing machine using >=2 colors of the ink consisting of the org. solvent solns. contg. the color materials and molten wax while said layers are successively segmented by which the thermosensitive transfer layer is formed. For example, transfer ink compsns. of respective colors for repeatedly coated at 5g/m<2> ratio based on the dry weight on continuous condenser paper having 10mum thickness dividedly by each color and are dried. Since the ink can be coated at the temp. below the m.p. of the wax, the good ink layers are formed and the desirable multi- color thermosensitive transfer recording layer is obtd.
