Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a sagging inhibitor which can prevent sagging of a paint etc. in a small amount of addition, by using a reaction product of an amine mixture comprising n-propylamine and a monoamine having a ring structure in the molecule with an organic diisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:n-Propylamine (A) is mixed with a monoamine (B) having a ring structure in the molecule (e.g., furfurylamine or cyclohexylamine) preferably at such a ratio that 0.3-0.9 amino group of component B is present per 0.3-0.7 amino group of component A. This amine mixture is reacted with an organic diisocyanate (e.g., hexamethylene 1,6-diisocyanate or toluene diisocyanate). The reaction product is added to a paint, an adhesive or the like as a sagging inhibitor to impart thixotropy thereto. In this way, sagging occurring when an paint is thickly applied to a vertical wall can be prevented.
