Many wooden seedling boxes on the market have a bottom plate made of plywood or fiberboard, and a frame plate attached to the upper surface around the bottom plate made of sawn wood. If the bottom plate is made of plywood, a through hole is formed by making a notch in the lower edge of the frame plate, and if the bottom plate is made of fiberboard, a number of holes of about 3 mm are punched all over the bottom plate. It is conventionally known that seedling boxes are provided with ventilation and drainage functions. However, both the configuration in which the above-mentioned notches are provided in the frame plate to form through holes, and the configuration in which holes are drilled all over the bottom plate, require a relatively large amount of work, and the latter in particular requires a relatively large amount of work. If it is used in such a way that it is placed on a board, even if the cut holes are made, it will not contribute much to the ventilation and drainage functions that were the original purpose of the holes.

In order to achieve this object, the present invention has a structure in which a seedling raising box is provided with a frame plate attached to the upper part of the periphery of the bottom plate, and the bottom plate is a fiberboard having a mesh shaped by a heat-pressing process using a wet method. On both sides in the longitudinal direction of the bottom plate, which is oriented so that the mesh is on the top surface, scraped areas that are inclined from the inside to the outside are arranged at appropriate intervals.

To explain in detail with reference to the embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings, 1 is a bottom plate, 2 is a frame plate, and 3 is a scraped portion. In general, fiberboard is obtained by a dry method or a wet method, but in the latter case, the wet sheet obtained by wet forming is covered with a wire mesh on one side to facilitate moisture removal during the hot pressing process. Because it is heated and pressed, it has the advantage that the wire mesh remains on the fiberboard.
In the present invention, based on the knowledge that the surface of the fiberboard on which such a mesh has been formed has a soft property, and therefore it is possible to improve the rooting of young seedlings, the bottom plate 1 is formed using a wet method. Obtained fiberboard and pears,
In addition, it was decided to use the mesh with the mesh facing upward. The size of the bottom plate 1 is usually about 1 shaku x 2 shaku. As is clear from FIG. 3, the scraped portions 3 arranged at appropriate intervals on both sides of the bottom plate 1 in the longitudinal direction are inclined from the inside to the outside. Sloped surface machining can be easily done by scraping with a grinder. An example of the size of the scraped portion 3 is the width
The length is 30 mm, the length is 20 to 25 mm, and the depth is about 1.5 to 2 mm, which is about half the thickness of the bottom plate 1.

As can be seen from the above explanation, the seedling box of the present invention has the bottom plate 1 made of fiberboard with the mesh facing upward, which not only improves the rooting of young seedlings, but also improves ventilation and drainage. As a configuration for imparting functionality, scraped areas 3 slanted from the inside to the outside are arranged at appropriate intervals on both sides of the bottom plate 1 in the longitudinal direction, so the machining is simple and requires no effort. can be easily done. Since the entire surface is not perforated, sufficient strength of the bottom plate 1 can be ensured even if the thickness of the bottom plate is thinner than that of conventional products, and the weight can be reduced accordingly, making it more economical. In addition, even when placed on the shelves of a seedling raising rack, drainage air permeability is not inhibited, so root damage to young seedlings is avoided and strong seedlings with good growth are grown. There are tremendous effects.
