Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain clear-cut image over the whole frame even with illumination using a compact single light source by providing corrective measures against uneven recording produced between the central portion and the periphery of the copy caused by reduction of illumination intensity with a single light source at periphery of recording plane for image of a black board or the like. CONSTITUTION: Emitted light from a halogen lamp 10 is focused in slit shape through condenser lens 13 and a 1st cylindrical lens 14, reflected by a fixed mirror 15, trimmed into slit-shaped parallel beam by a 2nd cylindrical lens 16 and directed toward a scanning mirror 17. Then this reflected beam varies its transmitting position from the left to right of an ND filter 19 in response to rotation of the scanning mirror 17, and the light becomes brighter as it goes closer to right and left ends of a black board surface because transmittance of the ND filter 19 becomes higher as approaching its both ends. However, brightness of illuminating light on the black board surface becomes nearly even because distance between the electronic copier and the black board surface is short in the central portion and becomes longer as approaching its both ends.
