Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition giving good fluid characteristics under mild dispersing conditions, useful for gravure or flexographic ink of high gloss, etc., by incorporating a coarsely granular organic pigment with specified amount of an organic coloring matter derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) an organic pigment virtually containing no lumps of a size of >=10mm with the content of granules of a size of 0.175-5mm being >=40wt.% with (B) 0.1-30wt.% based on the component A, of an organic coloring matter derivative. Preferably, the component A contains >=60wt.% of granules with a size of 0.175-5mm prepared by forming a wet cake into a readily dryable form followed by drying to a water content of <=2wt.%, being of phthalocyanine- or azo-base; whereas the component B is of formula I [A is organic coloring matter residue; B1-B4 are each H (but except for all of them being H), of formula II (X is H, halogen, etc.; l is 1-2), etc.].
