Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer having improved powder property without causing the deposition in a reactor or forming a block, by carrying out the polymerization reaction in the presence of a stererospecific catalyst composed mainly of a Ti compound and an organic Al compound while keeping a fatty acid amide in the vapor phase. CONSTITUTION:A propylene polymer is produced in vapor phase in the presence of a stererospecific catalyst composed mainly of a Ti compound (e.g. TiCl3) and an organic Al compound (e.g. diethylaluminum chloride or di-n- propylaluminum chloride) (preferably the molar ratio of the organic Al compound to Ti is 2-150). The above process is carried out in the presence of 0.01-0.5wt.% of a fatty acid amide (e.g. stearic acid amide or olefin acid amide) in the vapor-phase polymerization system usually under a pressure of 5-40atm. at 60-80 deg.C.
