Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance a gas barrier property and heat deformation resistance, by constituting a hollow container of at least one layer composed of a specific thermoplastic polyester layer and at least another layer composed of a compound containing specific thermoplastic polyester and copolyester. CONSTITUTION:A hollow container is constituted of at least one layer composed of a thermoplastic polyester layer based on ethylene terephthalate and at least the other one layer composed of a blend containing thermoplastic polyester based on an ethylene terephthalate unit and copolyester having 20-75mol.% of acyloxy aromatic carboxylic acid (AOB) copolymerized therewith in a wt. ratio of 95:5-30:70. This hollow container is formed by mechanically stretching the above-mentioned multilayer preform in the axial direction of the hollow container and blowing a fluid in the preform to apply blow stretching thereto in the peripheral direction and the resin constituting at least a body part 1 is molecularly oriented in biaxial directions, that is, in the axial and circumferential directions of the hollow container.
