Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate and expedite an operation of housing a moving body without uncertainty, to prevent the collision of the body with a wall surface and thereby to increase safety, by making it possible to know certainly the distance to the wall surface from a state of a light-irradiated spot which is seen. CONSTITUTION:Light sources 3a and 3b are provided on the right and left sides of the rear part of a moving body 1 such as an automobile so that two intersecting rays 4a and 4b of light emitted from them can be seen from the position of a driver 2. These light sources 3a and 3b are so positioned as to be interconnected at an intersecting point 5, although they may be positioned either inside or outside of the body 1 and need not be positioned on the same plane. A distance 6 between the intersecting point 5 and the rear end part 1a of the body 1 is made to be equal to a prescribed distance needed between the body 1 and a wall surface 7 of a garage or the like. In these conditions, the body 1 is moved forward and backward in accordance with a spacing distance between light-irradiated spots 8a and 8b which is seen, so that the intersecting point 5 of the two rays 4a and 4b of light be positioned on the wall surface 7. Then the distance between the body 1 and the wall surface 7 becomes equal to the distance 6 and positioning of the body is made.
