Abstract

In this case, it is judged that the vehicle is running on a rough road, when the time interval between adjacent maximum values of wheel speed which is decreasing while pulsating by the repeat of increasing/decreasing of braking hydraulic pressure is within a prescribed time, and further when the vehicle speed decreasing rate if greater than a prescribed value. When it is judged to be in rough road running, the control for increasing, by a prescribed amount, the set value of the wheel-speed lowering rate or lowering quantity in which the braking hydraulic pressure is to be reduced is repeatedly carried out for a set time.
